Korba, June 11 2026. Continuing its commitment to empowering young girls through meaningful learning experiences, NTPC Korba organized two inspiring sessions under the Role Model Initiative of the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2026. The programme provided the GEM girls with a valuable opportunity to interact with renowned Indian footballer Kiran Pisda and accomplished shooting athlete Shruti Yadav, whose journeys of dedication and achievement served as a source of motivation for the participants.
During her interaction, Kiran Pisda shared her inspiring journey from a small-town dreamer to representing India on the national football stage. She highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and hard work in achieving success. Speaking about the challenges she encountered throughout her career, she encouraged the girls to remain determined and confident in pursuing their aspirations.
Addressing the participants, Kiran said, “Believe in your dreams, work hard every day, and never be afraid of challenges. With confidence and determination, you can achieve anything.”
She also shared insights into football training, fitness, and the importance of maintaining both physical and mental strength. In a separate session, Shruti Yadav shared her experiences as a professional shooter and highlighted the focus, patience, discipline, and mental strength required to excel in precision sports. She spoke about the rigorous training and dedication that have contributed to her success and motivated the girls to stay committed to their goals despite challenges and setbacks.
Sharing her message with the GEM girls, Shruti said, “Stay focused on your goals, keep learning, and never give up. Success comes to those who remain patient, disciplined, and committed.”
She further emphasized the importance of self-confidence, continuous learning, and embracing opportunities for growth. Her inspiring experiences and practical insights encouraged the participants to strive for excellence in every aspect of life.
