CM Vishnu Deo Sai Holds Jan Chaupal in Sakti under Sushasan Tihar campaign

CM Interacts Directly with Villagers in Thathari Village

Raipur, June 6, 2026/

As part of the Sushasan Tihar campaign, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited Thathari village in Sakti district on June 6 and held a Jan Chaupal under the shade of a banyan tree. During the open-air interaction, the Chief Minister sat among villagers, listened to their concerns, gathered suggestions and received direct feedback on the ground-level implementation of government welfare schemes.

Addressing the Jan Chaupal, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the objective of Sushasan Tihar is not only to review government programmes but also to assess whether the benefits of welfare schemes are genuinely reaching the last person in society. He sought feedback from villagers on the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, electricity supply, drinking water facilities, and other basic services.

The Chief Minister announced that the state government will soon launch a modern CM Helpline through which citizens will be able to register complaints via a toll-free number, email and WhatsApp. He said a time-bound grievance redressal mechanism would be put in place and strict action would be taken against officials found negligent in resolving public complaints.

Chief Minister Shri Sai informed villagers that the 28th instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana had recently been transferred to the bank accounts of women beneficiaries across the state. He said the government remains committed to promoting women’s economic empowerment and dignity.

Talking about the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, the Chief Minister said consumers can significantly reduce their electricity expenses by availing themselves of subsidies provided jointly by the Central and State Governments. He also highlighted the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana and the Mukhya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana, which are enabling devotees to undertake pilgrimage journeys.

The Chief Minister stated that rapid progress is being made across the state in education, healthcare, road connectivity, and infrastructure development. He also noted that a new atmosphere of peace and development has emerged in Bastar with the support and participation of local communities.

During the interaction, villagers shared their experiences with development works and various government schemes, and also raised several demands. Listening carefully to their suggestions and concerns, the Chief Minister announced several important development initiatives for the area.

He announced the construction of an Aarti Ghat near the Chaturbhuj Vishnu Temple to facilitate devotees visiting the religious site. Responding to a long-standing demand of residents, he also announced the opening of a bank branch in Thathari village.

The Chief Minister further directed the District Collector to prepare and submit a proposal for granting Nagar Panchayat status to Thathari. He said that the village would be upgraded to a Nagar Panchayat in the future. In addition, he announced the approval of road construction works in the area.

The Chief Minister’s visit filled the residents with enthusiasm. The Jan Chaupal held under the banyan tree became a memorable occasion for villagers, offering them a valuable opportunity to present their concerns and suggestions directly to the Chief Minister.
