Gave a message of environmental conservation, public representatives also participated in tree plantation

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai arrived in Gariaband on Saturday to participate in the divisional review meeting organized under Sushasan Tihar. During the visit, he planted a peepal sapling in the premises of the District Panchayat Office under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, conveying a message of environmental conservation and tree plantation.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign was launched last year under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The campaign encourages people to plant trees in honour of their mothers. He said that this year as well, the campaign is being carried out enthusiastically across the country, and large-scale plantation activities are being undertaken throughout the state under this initiative.
The Chief Minister appealed to citizens to plant as many trees as possible and take a pledge for their protection in the interest of environmental conservation. He said that tree plantation is an important means of ensuring a clean and safe environment for future generations.
On this occasion, public representatives also planted saplings of various species. Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Bindranawagarh MLA Shri Janak Dhruv, District Panchayat President Shri Gaurishankar Kashyap, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, along with other public representatives and senior officials, were present at the programme.
