Bijapur district records maximum while Surguja district records minimum rainfall in the state
Raipur 03 September 2023// According to the information gathered by the State Revenue and Disaster Management Department through the State Control Room, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 737 mm from June 1, 2023, till now. Analyzing the rainfall data from June 1 to the morning of September 3, the Bijapur district experienced the highest average rainfall of 1306.3 mm, while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average at 336.9mm during the same period.
As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the average rainfall recorded since June 1 varies across districts. In Surajpur district, an average rainfall of 655.7 mm has been registered, while Balrampur has experienced 699.7 mm, Jashpur has recorded 595.3 mm, and the Koriya and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur districts have recoded 708.7 mm and 715 mm of average rainfall respectively.
Similarly, 834.2 mm in Raipur district, 732.4 mm in Balodabazar, 671.4 mm in Gariaband, 768.1 mm in Mahasamund, 731.2 mm in Dhamtari, 748.7 mm in Bilaspur, 888.3mm in Mungeli, 815.6 mm in Raigarh and Sarangarh- Bilaigarh records an average rainfall of 665.6 mm respectively. Average rainfall of 618.3 mm was recorded in Janjgir-Champa, 614.2 mm in Sakti, 719.2 mm in Korba, 745.4 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 591.1 mm in Durg, 569.5 mm in Kabirdham district, 791.4 mm in Rajnandgaon, 930.5 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 750 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 779.8 mm in Balod, 563.9 mm in Bemetara, 802.6mm in Bastar, 701.4 mm in Kondagaon, 713.7 mm in Kanker, 704.8 mm in Narayanpur, 857.1 mm in Dantewada and 1086.4 mm in Sukma since June 1.
