Raipur, 23 February 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today graced the closing ceremony of the Late Dilip Singh Judeo Memorial All India Gold Cup Football Tournament in Jashpur. The high-profile tournament, which saw participation from elite teams across 16 states, was held at Ranjita Stadium from 8th to 23rd February 2025.
Addressing a packed stadium, CM Sai reaffirmed his government’s commitment to transforming Chhattisgarh into a powerhouse of sports. He said that cash incentives of ₹3 crore for Olympic gold medalists, ₹2 crore for silver medalists, and ₹1 crore for bronze medalists has been declared, emphasizing the state’s dedication to fostering world-class talent.
As a historic boost for sports infrastructure, CM Sai announced the complete renovation of Ranjita Stadium, ensuring it meets international standards to host major national and international events. He underlined that Chhattisgarh is steadily rising as a dominant force in Indian sports, thanks to increasing participation and government initiatives.

The final match witnessed an electrifying showdown between Railway Nagpur and MEG Bengaluru, drawing thousands of spectators from Jashpur and beyond. CM Sai, along with distinguished guests, enjoyed the thrilling encounter and personally congratulated the victorious team.
Praising the seamless execution of the tournament, CM Sai lauded the organizing committee for hosting a spectacular event and pledged even bigger, grander tournaments in the future.
For the first time in years, national-level teams competed at Ranjita Stadium, marking a revival of top-tier football in the region. The event attracted a massive turnout, with enthusiastic crowds from urban and rural areas gathering to witness history in the making.
The grand occasion was attended by Jashpur MLA Smt. Raymuni Bhagat, Patthalgaon MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, Shri Arvind Bhagat, newly elected councilors, Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judeo, Shaurya Pratap Singh Judeo, Smt. Shanti Bhagat along with top government officials, sports personalities, and an exuberant crowd of football enthusiasts.
