State Selected for PM Surya Ghar Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance in ‘Month of Solar’ Campaign
Chhattisgarh Secures Second Position in India for Highest Vendor Registrations Among Medium Consumer Base States

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s recognition at the national level for its outstanding performance in the “Month of Solar” campaign under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for the state. The Chief Minister stated that the achievement reflects the state’s continuous efforts to promote clean energy, energy self-reliance, and the effective implementation of public welfare schemes.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh has secured the second position in the country in the category of states with a medium consumer base for the highest number of vendor registrations under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. In recognition of this achievement, the state has been selected for the prestigious PM Surya Ghar Excellence Award. He said that the accomplishment is the result of the state’s proactive approach in the energy sector, effective implementation of government programmes and active public participation.
The Chief Minister congratulated the Energy Department, Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency, power distribution companies, officials, employees and all partner organisations for this significant achievement. He said that through teamwork, commitment, and effective coordination, Chhattisgarh is establishing a distinct identity at the national level.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai further said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is moving forward with commitment towards the goal of building an energy-self-reliant, environmentally sustainable and green Chhattisgarh. He expressed confidence that such initiatives promoting solar energy will not only provide economic relief to citizens but will also play a significant role in advancing clean energy adoption and sustainable development across the state.
