At Sushasan Tihar grievance redressal camp, Chief Minister says government is presenting its report card directly to people

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday attended public grievances redressal camp under Sushasan Tihar 2026 during his visit to Durg district. Addressing the grievance redressal camp at the Late Jhaduram Devangan Government Multipurpose Higher Secondary School ground, he said good governance is not limited to launching schemes but also involves reaching out to people, listening to their concerns and ensuring timely solutions. He added that through Sushasan Tihar, the state government is presenting its report card directly to citizens.

Chief Minister dedicated and laid foundation stones for 251 public welfare projects worth Rs 739.38 crore in Durg district. These include the inauguration of 98 projects worth Rs 362.46 crore and foundation laying for 153 new projects worth Rs 376.92 crore.

Shri Sai said the projects will accelerate Durg’s development and improve the quality of life for citizens. He also announced the construction of a fully equipped Integrated District Office Building in Durg to enhance transparency, efficiency and citizen services.

He said Sushasan Tihar, initiated from May 1 and to be continued till June 10 across all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh, is resolving public grievances and delivering benefits of government schemes directly to eligible beneficiaries through urban and rural camps.

At the camp, benefits under various schemes were distributed, including driving licences, fishing nets for fishermen, Ayushman cards, MGNREGA job cards, scholarships, housing approvals and support for women’s groups.

Shri Sai reiterated the state government’s commitment to fulfilling the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and improving the lives of the poor, farmers, women, youth and disadvantaged sections.

Attributing credit to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for elimination of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, Shri Sai said that Bastar is now moving towards development, trust and new opportunities. Referring to the Seva Dera established in Netanar, Shri Sai said villagers and tribal communities are being trained in tamarind processing, traditional rice processing, tailoring and other livelihood-based activities.

Appreciating Bemetara MLA Shri Deepesh Sahu’s initiative in facilitating mass marriage ceremony under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that mass marriage ceremony conveyed an inspiring message of social responsibility and public participation.

He also highlighted efforts to expand e-district services, he said initiatives such as the Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana and PM Surya Ghar Yojana are aimed at providing relief and convenience to citizens.

He added that the CM Helpline is being strengthened for faster grievance redressal, with special training provided to staff. Emergency services, including police, ambulance, fire and women’s assistance, have also been made more accessible through the 112 helpline.

Shri Sai felicitated Durg district students who secured positions in the merit list of the Class 10 and 12 state board examinations and said they would play a key role in building a developed Chhattisgarh.

He said the newly dedicated IT Park in Durg would create employment, innovation and technology opportunities for youth, while the Nalanda Campus, hostels and multi-level parking project in Indira Market would strengthen educational and urban infrastructure.

School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav said the development projects worth over Rs 739 crore would open new dimensions of growth for Durg district.

Chief Minister also distributed benefits under schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, MGNREGA, SVAMITVA Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, Ayushman Bharat, Women’s Fund Loan Scheme, Tribal Student Incentive Scheme and Fisheries Department programmes.

Among those present at the Sushasan Tihar programme were School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav, Durg MP Shri Vijay Baghel, MLA Shri Domanlal Korsewada, MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu, Telghani Board Chairman Shri Jitendra Sahu, Khadi and Village Industries Board Chairman Shri Rakesh Pandey, District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Shri Pritpal Belchandan, Divisional Commissioner Shri S.N. Rathore, Inspector General of Police Shri Abhishek Shandilya, along with several public representatives and officials.
