Korba, 14 Dec. The biennial inspection of the security system at the NTPC Korba plant was conducted by Inspector General (IG) Smt. Neelima Rani Singh from the Central Section, Bhilai, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on December 13, 2024. During the visit, Unit Incharge Commandant Rajeev Kulhari, Assistant Commandant (Fire) Ashok Prasad Singh, and other senior officers warmly welcomed the Inspector General. This inspection occurs every two years to assess the security system in-depth and provide concrete recommendations for improvement.
During her visit, the Inspector General met with NTPC Executive Chief General Manager Rajeev Khanna and other senior officials. They discussed various ways to enhance the robustness and organization of the plant’s security system.
The Inspector General also observed the recently installed beekeeping boxes in the unit and offered useful suggestions for their smooth operation and maintenance. Additionally, she inspected the model room created by the CISF unit at the NTPC plant and praised this initiative in security management.
Furthermore, the Inspector General thoroughly assessed the basic facilities available for the personnel, including the mess, barracks, and quarter guard. She visited all duty posts, evaluated the current security arrangements, and directed necessary corrective measures.
In the final phase of her visit, a Sainik Sammelan was organized, where the Inspector General attentively listened to the personal and professional concerns of the soldiers. She instructed the authorities to swiftly address these issues for effective resolution.
The success of this biennial inspection was made possible by the dedicated efforts of all officers and soldiers in the unit. Under the leadership of Commandant Rajeev Kulhari and Assistant Commandant Fire Ashok Prasad Singh, contributions were also made by Lady Inspector Usha Rani, Lady Inspector Julie E.L., Inspector Shivkant Mishra, Sub Inspector Chandraprakash Bandewar, Sub Inspector Ravi Kumar, and other force members. This inspection not only evaluated the security arrangements but also provided essential guidance for their enhancement.
