Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for Development Projects Worth Rs 167.21 Crores in Dantewada

Raipur, October 4, 2024/ Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, during his visit to Dantewada district today, inaugurated and laid foundation for development projects amounting to Rs 167.21 crores in the district. Among these, the inaugurated projects include the construction of a 100-seat girls’ hostel building for students at the Government Degree College in Kuakonda block, at a cost of Rs 272.45 lakh; construction of a shopping complex in Dantewada worth Rs 99 lakh; a 100-seat boys’ hostel building in Dantewada costing Rs 160 lakh; beautification work at Budha Talab in Barsur, Geedam block at a cost of Rs 453 lakh; construction of a ghat on the banks of Shankhni-Dankni river worth Rs 3659.70 lakh; construction of a 500-seat residential school building in Karli, Geedam block, including electrification, at a cost of Rs 487.15 lakh; construction of an anicut at Pujari Para, Dumam River, Katekalyan at a cost of Rs 350 lakh; construction of Dugeli Anicut worth Rs 372.94 lakh; construction of a Primary Health Center at Chhindnar worth Rs 75 lakh; and construction of a Sub Health Center at Hidpal for Rs 28.51 lakh, among other works.

On the occasion, foundation laying ceremony was performed for various projects, particularly including the construction of a building, staff quarters, hostel, roads, and boundary wall for Aastha Vidya Mandir Kirandul at an estimated cost of Rs 4219 lakh; construction of the ground and first floor of a residential building in Ranibagh, Dantewada at a cost of Rs 326.57 lakh; a 50-seat tribal pre-matric girls’ hostel at Madakamires for Rs 191.51 lakh; a 50-seat girls’ ashram in Jangampal worth Rs 162.76 lakh; a 100-seat tribal post-matric girls’ hostel at Badegudra for Rs 288.59 lakh; a 50-seat girls’ ashram in Marjum for Rs 162.76 lakh; a 100-seat tribal post-matric girls’ hostel in Sameli for Rs 191.51 lakh; a 100-seat tribal post-matric girls’ hostel in Palanar for Rs 288.59 lakh; a swimming pool in the village of Jawanga costing Rs 221.04 lakh; construction of a jogging track and boundary wall for Rs 47.13 lakh; community hall construction in Geedam-Jawanga, including park and tube well development for Rs 49.51 lakh; construction work at the tribal boys’ ashram in Bodli worth Rs 162.76 lakh; construction work at tribal boys’ ashrams in Sameli, Nahadi, Burgug, Potali, Kaurgaon, Mustalnar, and Gumalnar, each costing Rs 162.76 lakh; a tribal post-matric boys’ hostel in Geedam at a cost of Rs 191.51 lakh; a new tribal post-matric boys’ hostel in Geedam for Rs 191.51 lakh; a tribal post-matric boys’ hostel in Kuakonda at a cost of Rs 191.51 lakh; a tribal post-matric boys’ hostel in Kasoli for Rs 191.51 lakh; a tribal post-matric girls’ hostel in Kasoli for Rs 191.51 lakh; a tribal post-matric boys’ hostel in Dantewada for Rs 191.51 lakh; and a tribal post-matric girls’ hostel in Dantewada at Rs 191.51 lakh.

Other key projects for which the foundation stone was laid include the construction of the Cadiapara anicut (in Bhusaras Gram Panchayat) for Rs 260.46 lakh; renovation and canal lining work under the Farsapal Reservoir Scheme for Rs 255.77 lakh; construction of a check dam at Jhika Pandewal village for Rs 49.99 lakh; construction of an anicut on the Jhodiyabarm River for Rs 390.31 lakh; culvert construction on the Kamalur to Basanpur road at Rs 18.45 lakh; construction of an RCC slab culvert (03-span, 06 meters) from Balud to Kuapara at Rs 49.56 lakh; culvert construction on Kamalur to Basanpur Road RD 4.05 meter for Rs 41.30 lakh; construction of an RCC slab culvert (06 meters span) from Balud to Manjharpara at Rs 25.18 lakh; culvert construction from Balud to Totapara Road at Rs 30.16 lakh; high-level bridge construction on Dankini River at Km. Pondum to Dabpal Road for Rs 445.70 lakh; establishment of a youth hub to create economic opportunities for rural women and youth of Dantewada district worth Rs 59.80 lakh; and electrification work in Muler, a dependent village of Nahadi Gram Panchayat, at Rs 345 lakh.

On this occasion, the Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, Minister of Forests Shri Kedar Kashyap, Member of Parliament from Bastar Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Dantewada MLA Shri Chaitram Atami, Member of the State Women’s Commission Mrs. Ojaswi Mandavi, DIG Shri Kamalochan Kashyap, District Collector Shri Mayank Chaturvedi, SP Shri Gaurav Rai, and other district administration officials were present.
