91-year-old Philanthropist Donates Land for Hospital Construction

Veteran Lawyer Offers Property for Public Healthcare Facility

A 91-year-old resident of Ashwini Nagar, Raipur, Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawal, who has been practising law for decades, has made an extraordinary gesture of public service. Renowned for his intellectual contributions, Mr. Agrawal has also authored a book on ‘Gram Sabha’ in Chhattisgarh. In today’s world, where individuals are often preoccupied with acquiring and preserving wealth, Mr. Agrawal has risen above such pursuits and has offered to donate his property for the greater good of the nation.

Mr. Agrawal met Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today, expressing his intent to donate 38 decimals of land in the Baloda Bazar district for the construction of a hospital dedicated to public welfare. Commending Mr. Agrawal’s generous initiative, the Health Minister honoured him with a bouquet. He also directed the Baloda Bazar Collector to take the necessary legal steps to ensure the donation is processed smoothly and the hospital project is realized as per the vision of Mr. Agrawal.
