Raipur, 19 September 2024/ Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao will return to Raipur from his eight-day study tour of the United States on September 20. He has already arrived in New Delhi from the US. Shri Sao will depart from New Delhi for Raipur on September 20 at 7:00 AM via a regular flight and is scheduled to arrive in Raipur at 8:55 AM. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao had embarked on this tour to the United States on September 9, accompanied by Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of the Public Works Department, upon the invitation of the Asian Development Bank.
During his eight-day study tour in the US, Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Shri Arun Sao visited road and building construction projects in New York, Washington, and San Francisco. He held meetings with construction experts to gather insights on planning, designing, construction materials, techniques, and the phased steps involved in executing large construction projects. He also discussed health and safety measures for workers at the construction sites with the specialists.
While touring the construction sites in the US, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao interacted with architects and engineers, gaining valuable knowledge about the materials, metals, and machinery being used. He also held discussions with construction experts on the application of modern technology and machinery for advanced road and building projects in Chhattisgarh. Shri Sao emphasized that a detailed study of the new techniques and practices prevalent in the US would be conducted to consider their implementation in the Public Works Department for the construction of high-quality and durable roads and buildings in Chhattisgarh. During his visit, Shri Sao also met with Indian communities and people of Chhattisgarh origin in New York, Washington, and San Francisco.
