Raipur, 4 August 2023 . Bhent-Mulakat with Youth, Durg
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel began his address by saying ‘Kaka abhi zinda hai!”
He further stated that last year, on May 4, we launched the ‘Bhent-Mulakat’ programme. We met people from all sections including the religious heads. Since then, the idea of having separate interactions with the youth was in my mind.
The Chief Minister subsequently inquired the youth if they had been following the programs from Raipur and Bilaspur on YouTube, and a significant number of them responded yes.
He said that some of the youth shared their aspirations and dreams. Their dreams are the same that our ancestors had, and it is also the dream of our government. Our government had put nearly Rs 2 lakh crores in people’s pockets, due to which the state remained untouched by the recession. We opened universities and established four medical colleges.
Wherever we went for the ‘Bhent-Mulakat’ programmes, two demands came up: establish Swami Atmanand schools and open banks. For so many years, there were no English medium colleges. We opened ten colleges and will continue to open more.
Now, Chhattisgarh’s identity is deeply rooted in our unique culture, whether it’s the tribal tradition, Ram Van Gaman Path, Kabir Sarovar, or the development of sacred places connected to Baba Ghasidas.
The whole world celebrated Bore-Basi Day with Chhattisgarh on May 1.
Now, the future of the new generation will be enriched with education and culture.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, while engaging in a dialogue with the youth, mentioned that last year, on May 4, we launched the statewide Bhent-Mulakat programme.
We met people from all sections in both urban and rural areas.
Since then, the idea of directly interacting with the youth was in my mind.
In this sequence, we had ‘Bhent-Mulakat’ first in Raipur, then in Bilaspur, and today we are having one in the Durg division.
Currently, few youth came to the stage and presented various performances.
