SECL Director (Personnel), Biranchi Das today on 22/02/2025 met and interacted with the students of the current batch of “SECL ke Sushrut,” a pioneering CSR initiative offering free residential coaching for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
During his interaction, Director (P) urged students to remain focused and dedicated in their preparation and utilizing every resource and opportunity available to them. He emphasized the importance of taking every periodic test seriously and giving their best in the All India Test Series.

This CSR initiative by SECL ensures that selected students receive free residential coaching with lodging and boarding, providing them with the necessary support to excel in one of the most competitive medical entrance exams in India.
In the first batch of the program which started in 2023, 39 out of 40 students successfully qualified for NEET 2024. Among them, 11 students secured admission in MBBS course, 2 gained admission in BDS, 2 were admitted to BAMS, 2 got admission in BPTH and 2 were selected for Veterinary course in Government Colleges across Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Beyond “SECL ke Sushrut,” SECL is deeply committed to numerous impactful CSR projects aimed at societal upliftment. Some of its other notable initiatives include: SECL ki Dhadkan (CIL- Nanha Sa Dil)- Surgeries of children with Congenital Heart Defects, Skill Development through CIPET, ATDC & NMDC; Digi Vidya- Installation of 265 no. of smart classrooms and upgradation of 84 no. of science labs; construction of 500 bedded SECL Girls Hostel at NIT Raipur; addressing the issue of malnutrition among 36,000 children and screening for anaemia and sickle cell anaemia for 20,000 children and 40,000 pregnant women of Vidisha, MP; installation of 3.0 Tesla MRI Machine at Medical College, Korba etc.
Through these initiatives, SECL continues to demonstrate its commitment to education, healthcare, skill development etc.; playing a crucial role in transforming lives and empowering communities. SECL will strive to reach the unreachable.
