Workshop held for better implementation of the scheme
Raipur 22 february . Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana has been implemented in the state to stimulate commercial cultivation on private land. This will result in the establishment of wood-based enterprises in the state. At the same time, the villages will receive employment and a means of subsistence. A state-level workshop for Forest Department officers was held to improve the implementation of this scheme. Participants were informed that the Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana will provide a 100 percent grant to interested and eligible beneficiaries for trees planted on private land for a total of 5 acres of land. Similarly, if the land is larger than 5 acres, a 50% subsidy will be made accessible. Participants were also informed that it would be good to plant 1000 to 5000 saplings per acre to ensure maximum wood production from the trees. As a result, landowners who plant trees on private land will get Rs 15 to 50 thousand per acre each year.
Institutions will get a 50 percent grant
Under the Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana, private educational institutions, private trusts, panchayat land contract holders, and non-governmental organizations would be given a 50 percent grant priority for planting trees on their land. These institutions will bear the remainder of the cost. Private landowners and groups will be able to execute field preparation, pit digging, planting, weeding, and other work with the grant money for tree plantation preparation. Private landowners, government agencies, and private organizations will be required to sign a tripartite agreement for the selling of wood following tree planting.

Tissue culture teak, sandalwood, Clonal Eucalyptus, Milia dubia, tissue culture bamboo, and other useful species will be planted under the scheme. In the workshop, the interested private landowners and representatives of various institutions resolved their queries including the provisions of the scheme. In the workshop, plantation expert Mr. Premlal Jain, industrialist, timber merchant, land-owning farmer, N.G.O. and Collector Raipur along with senior officers of Municipal Corporation and Forest Department were present.
