National Health Mission and ECHO India are hosting a two-day training to boost health services

Officers and health professionals are being trained to provide high-level medical advice and health services in remote places.


Raipur. 16 February . National Health Mission and ECHO India have arranged a two-day program to boost health services in the state on February 15-16. It started today in a private hotel located in the state capital. In the training, the Officers and staff of the Health Department and the National Health Mission are being informed about the development of health system through capacity. During the launch of the training today, Director of State Institute of Health and Family Welfare (SIHFW) Dr. Alka Gupta, Joint Director of Health and Family Welfare Department Dr. Surendra Pambhoi, Smt. Ratna Ajgale, Deputy Director of Child Health Dr. V.R. Bhagat, and senior officials of Health Department and ECHO India were present.

In his address to the participants, Joint Director of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. Surendra Pambhoi, stated that in this digital age, ECHO’s assistance will aid in broadening the reach of health facilities. This training will make it easier to give high-level medical consultations and health services to patients in remote places. Along with this, our health professionals in rural places will have their skills upgraded.

Meanwhile, Dr. Haresh Chandwani, General Manager of ECHO India, stated during the training that ECHO India improves their efficiency and expertise by teaching health workers who provide health services in distant and inaccessible locations. The organization’s professionals often provide training and guidance to medical staff. The goal of ECHO India is to provide better consultation services from certified doctors to patients at the local level. The group strives to make health care services available, equal, and inexpensive to all.

Since 2019, ECHO India has been working with the National Health Mission in Chhattisgarh to achieve Universal Health Coverage. Along with child and maternal mortality, sickle cell anemia, TB, cancer, and non-communicable diseases including diabetes and stroke can also be provided with assistance. Mr. Harsh Chandwani of ECHO India and his colleagues trained the Health Department’s Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Program Officers, State Consultants, and District Training Coordinators.
