Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visits Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra, reviews impact of Seva Setu initiative in Kondagaon

Government services must reach villagers in a simple and transparent manner: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, June 1, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday visited the Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra at Badekanera gram panchayat in Kondagaon district and reviewed the functioning of ‘Seva Setu’, a rural digital good governance initiative that is emerging as a model for delivering government and digital services at the village level. Chief Minister inspected the facilities available at the centre and interacted with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes to assess service delivery, transparency and the reach of government programmes.

Stressing the need to make public services easily accessible in rural areas, Shri Sai said the government’s objective is to ensure that villagers receive the benefits of welfare schemes through a simple, transparent and citizen-friendly system. He said the Seva Setu campaign and Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras are strengthening digital governance in rural Chhattisgarh while reducing dependence on visits to government offices.

During the interaction, Smt. Kaushalya Manikpuri told Chief Minister that she receives regular assistance under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which helps meet household expenses. She added that support received through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi has also helped her manage agricultural requirements.

Other beneficiaries, including Smt. Sumati Manikpuri, Smt. Amil Manikpuri and Smt. Pachmati Baghel, said Mahtari Vandan Yojana has improved their financial independence and provided support in meeting family needs. Smt. Venkatramana Jangam, a beneficiary of both the old-age pension scheme and Mahtari Vandan Yojana, expressed satisfaction over the regular receipt of benefits.

Assuring beneficiaries of continued support, Shri Sai said the government remains committed to ensuring that welfare schemes reach every poor family, farmer and woman in a timely and transparent manner.

Seva Setu brings government and digital services directly to villagers’ doorsteps

The Seva Setu initiative in Badekanera has emerged as an effective platform for delivering welfare schemes and digital services to rural residents in a quick, simple and accessible manner. By bringing multiple government, financial and digital services under one roof, the initiative is making the idea of good governance visible at the grassroots level.

Single centre offers a wide range of government and digital services

At the Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra, applications are processed for a service charge of ₹30, while printouts are available at ₹5 per page. Villagers can access services such as income, caste and domicile certificates, birth and death registration, marriage registration and building permission approvals without leaving the village.

The centre also provides banking and financial services, including cash withdrawals, fund transfers and pension-related assistance. Life, general and crop insurance services, PAN card and passport applications, electricity bill payments, travel ticket bookings and online registration for government schemes are also available at the facility. As a result, villagers no longer have to spend significant time, effort and money travelling to distant offices to access basic services.

Providing details of the initiative, Seva Setu Manager Shri Sanjay Mishra informed Chief Minister that the centre records digital transactions worth nearly ₹15 lakh to ₹20 lakh every month. He said the initiative has improved service accessibility while also creating local employment opportunities, helping strengthen the economic condition of rural youth.

Badekanera residents told Chief Minister that the availability of services within the village has eliminated the need for repeated visits to government offices. This, they said, has led to substantial savings in time, effort and expenditure while also strengthening public confidence in government service delivery.
