From Training to Transformation: Chief Minister witnesses a grassroots model of rural self-reliance at RSETI

Chief Minister Shri Sai visits the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI); boosts the morale of ‘Pashu Sakhis’

Raipur, May 3, 2026 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday visited the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI) during his tour of Balrampur district under Sushasan Tihar, where he interacted warmly with the ‘Pashu Sakhis’ undergoing training and encouraged them.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while inspection of the training hall, gathered information about various activities and greeted the trainees warmly with “Jai Bihaan.” He especially interacted with the ‘Pashu Sakhis’ receiving animal husbandry training, listened to their experiences, and appreciated their efforts.

On this occasion, Ms. Anuradha Gupta from Village Kevli under Bagra Cluster of Ramchandrapur development block informed Chief Minister that she is working as a ‘Pashu Sakhi’ after joining the Bihaan scheme. She stated that she conducts surveys of livestock in the village, assists veterinarians, and provides necessary information related to animal husbandry to villagers while also spreading awareness about animal diseases. She further mentioned that the training provided by the institute is helping her perform her work more efficiently.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the State Government is prioritizing skill development and self-employment to make rural youth and women self-reliant. He stated that institutions like RSETI are not only centers of training but also important instruments for strengthening the rural economy.

It is noteworthy that through the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute operating in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, a total of 510 trainees have been trained in 16 batches across various entrepreneurial sectors so far. Through these trainings, rural youth and women are being prepared for self-employment and micro-entrepreneurship, enabling them to steadily move towards self-reliance.
