Prior to commencement of WR-II IRSM (Cricket) 2025, a friendly cricket match was played between NTPC Lara & Korba team on 2nd March 2025. Batting first MCG Korba scored 124 with loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Shri Dhannau Prasad Ajay was the highest scorer with 45 runs. Chasing the target of 125 runs, Lara managed to score 94 runs by loss of 9 wickets. Dr. R Malkapuram was the top scorer with 21 runs. For best bowling performance Shri Umesh Mehra declared as the Player of the Match for taking 4 wickets in 4 overs.
