Adding one more feather to its cap, NTPC Korba secured first position in the country with 97.61 percent plant load factor (PLF) in the first quarter from April to June 2021 as per report published by Central Electricity Authority of India (CEA). During this period NTPC Korba generated 5542.629 million units with 97.61 percent PLF, registering an increase of 1.12 percent from 5480.808 million units generated in the corresponding quarter last year. Getting this achievement after 38 years of operations is a testimony of NTPC’s better operation and maintenance practices which helps to serve the country by providing continuous power supply for nation building.
With an installed capacity of 66085 mega watt capacities, recently NTPC group achieved 100 billion units generation in the current financial year and Korba station has a major contribution to reach this milestone.
Expressing their happiness, Biswarup Basu, Executive Director and P Ram Prasad, General Manager (Operation & Maintenance) described, this achievement as a dedicate team work of NTPC Korba with adapting ethical work culture. Achieving this milestone by following Covid appropriate behaviour during second wave of Covid pandemic made this feat much more special for all NTPCians.
Besides securing top position for power generation, Korba station awarded by renowned certifying agencies like Confederation of Indian Industries, Mission Energy Foundation, Greentech and Social Audit 8000.
