Raigarh 25 October 2014.Under NTPC Lara Community development intervention, an eye check-up camp was
organized for students of Government Senior Secondary School, Rengalpali. The
camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Anuradha Sharma ( President, Prerita Mahila Samiti)
in the presence of Ladies club members, school students and staff members, Dr. Kalpana Prakash Tayade (CMO- NTPC,Lara), Sh. Rakesh Sav (Sarpanch, Gram
Panchayat- Rengalapli), medical staff from NTPC Hospital and HR team.
The camp aimed to provide eye care information, free eye check-up and detect
vision problems amongst students. 219 students participated in the camp, where the team of expert optometrists and Doctors from NTPC Lara Hospital conducted
thorough eye examination. During examination, 37 beneficiaries were identified with.low vision requiring corrective spects.
In addition to this, health awareness regarding eye care, eye protection was also
given to the students so that they can prioritize their eye health and take all
necessary precautions for the safety and protection of their eyes and vision.
