Raipur, 09 October 2024/ The Mahtari Vandan Yojana has proven to be a boon for Smt. Pramila Chakradhari and her daughter-in-law, Smt. Leena Chakradhari, who belong to a potter family in Arjuni village of Balodabazar district. Smt. Pramila uses the funds from this scheme to purchase essential materials for making earthen utensils, while Smt. Leena utilizes the support to manage household expenses more effectively, enabling them to meet their family’s small needs. This initiative has become not only a source of financial assistance but also a symbol of self-respect and empowerment for both women.
Shri Malik Ram, Smt. Pramila’s husband, works as a traditional potter, making earthen utensils and other items, with Smt. Pramila assisting him in his work. Their skill in pottery is central to their livelihood, but financial constraints often pose challenges. Their son, Shri Umesh Chakradhari, supports the family working as a labourer, while his wife, Smt. Leena, manages household responsibilities. Despite being married for only two years, this small family is navigating various challenges together.
Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Smt. Pramila and Smt. Leena have received the much-needed financial assistance, bringing new hope into their lives. Smt. Pramila expressed her gratitude, stating, “The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, initiated by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for the welfare of women, has provided us with the support we had long sought. We used to work hard, but financial constraints often left us feeling helpless. With the funds from this scheme, we can now advance our efforts.”
Smt. Leena stated “Our small family is now standing stronger. This assistance has brought us a step closer to self-reliance.” Both women extend their heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for empowering them financially and restoring their dignity. Today, Smt. Pramila and Smt. Leena’s family is secure and is building a brighter future for themselves.
