Raipur, October 2, 2024/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today paid homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries at his residential office by offering floral tributes to their portraits. Recalling the invaluable contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, he said that Gandhi Ji provided a new direction to the Indian freedom movement. By adhering to the principles of truth, love, and non-violence, Gandhi Ji set an exemplary precedent for the entire world.
Reflecting on the legacy of former Prime Minister Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Shastri Ji made a significant contribution to the Indian freedom movement. By raising the slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” he boosted the morale of the masses. Shastri Ji led a life of simplicity and dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the service of the poor. Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that Shastri Ji’s ideals and values will continue to inspire people for generations to come.
