Raipur, 19 September 2024/ On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Sagar Devangan will be provided with a prosthetic hand. During the Jandarshan program held today at CM House, Sagar shared his greivances with Chief Minister, in response to which Chief Minister directed the officials of the Social Welfare Department to arrange for a prosthetic hand for Sagar. The measurement for the prosthetic limb will be taken at the Physical Referral Rehabilitation Centre (PRRC) located at Mana Camp.
Sagar Devangan, a 29-year-old resident of Bajrang Nagar, Durg, used to work in cable connections. Two years ago, he suffered severe burns to his hand and chest due to an electric current from a cable pole. Doctors had to amputate his hand near the elbow. His wife is now working in households to support her husband and their two young children. Today, during the Jandarshan, Sagar met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and requested a prosthetic limb. Acting swiftly on Sagar’s request, the Chief Minister instructed the Social Welfare Department to expedite the process of providing him the prosthetic hand.
