Raipur, 13 September 2024. Following the directives of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the district administration has initiated an investigation into the industrial accident that occurred last Sunday at the Maa Kudargadi Alumina Plant in Surguja district. The district administration has also provided compensation cheques of Rs. 15 lakh each to the dependents of the four people who lost their lives in this incident.
It is noteworthy that on the morning of September 8, four people died in an industrial accident at the Maa Kudargadi Alumina Plant located in Silsila village of Lundra Janpad Panchayat in Surguja district. Taking cognisance of this event, the Chief Minister ordered the district administration to conduct an immediate investigation and provide compensation to the families of deceased people.
According to the information received, the district administration team visited the homes of the victims’ families to deliver the compensation cheques. The recipients include Shri Karu Manjhi, father of the deceased Shri Karanvir Manjhi; Smt. Sunaina Devi, wife of the deceased Shri Rameshwar Manjhi; Shri Dhanraj Singh Rajput, father of the deceased Shri Prince Rajput; and Smt. Sonam Rajput, wife of the deceased Shri Manoj Singh Rajput. Each family received a cheque of Rs. 15 lakh.
