Chief Minister Extends Greetings for Dol Gyaras Festival

Raipur, 13 September 2024. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Dol Gyaras. He offered prayers to Lord Shri Krishna, seeking happiness, prosperity, and well-being for all citizens.

In his message, Shri Sai stated that Dol Gyaras, also known as ‘Jaljhulni Ekadashi’, is celebrated 18 days after the birthday of Lord Shri Krishna. This festival commemorates the day when Maa Yashoda performed the sacred Jalpujan (ghat pujan) for young Krishna.

The Chief Minister highlighted the tradition of Dol Gyaras, where devotees, after worshipping Lord Krishna, organise a vibrant ‘Shobha Yatra’ (procession) accompanied by drums and traditional musical instruments. Shri Sai prayed that on this auspicious Ekadashi, Lord Krishna’s divine grace continues to bless everyone with peace and prosperity.
