Thousands of people from across the state visited the ‘Jandarshan’ program to meet the Chief Minister with their issues and applications

Chief Minister Shri Sai distributed motorised tricycles to divyangs and other equipment at the ‘Jandarshan’ program

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai provided immediate financial assistance for medical treatments and distributed assistive devices, such as motorised tricycles and walkers, to persons with disabilities during the ‘Jandarshan’ program at his residence in Raipur on September 19. Thousands of people from across the state, representing all age groups, gathered to meet the Chief Minister with their issues and applications. The program, which started at noon and lasted until 7 PM, saw Shri Sai attentively listening to each individual’s concerns and issuing prompt instructions for their resolution.

During the event, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh to Usha Thakur from Amapara, Raipur, for her oral cancer treatment. He also provided a cheque of Rs. 25,000 for the treatment of Roshan Sahu’s 8-year-old son from Gudhiyari, Raipur, and a cheque of Rs. 15,000 to divyang artist Vivek Bhonsle for the purchase of musical instruments. Additionally, Shri Sai distributed motorised tricycles to divyangs Rajuram Vacham and Leelashankar Sahu, a wheelchair to Mohammad Rashid Qureshi, an elbow crutch to Indrasan Goswami, and a walker to Vivek Sharma.

Special arrangements for seating and refreshments were made for the visitors as per the Chief Minister’s instructions. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, the entry process at the Chief Minister’s residence was streamlined, and a mobile medical unit was set up to offer health check-ups for the attendees.

During the Jandarshan program, Shri Sai also met with Vinod Kumar Lakra from Kadelkachhar village in Jashpur district, who requested the initiation of road construction from Junadih to Barkani. Villagers from Maldi in the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district appealed for the protection of their village reservoir from encroachment and action against those responsible. The Chief Minister assured them of an investigation and appropriate action. Responding to complaints about the lack of doctors and inadequate treatment at the Bilaigarh Community Health Centre, Shri Sai instructed the Collector to take effective measures.

Additionally, visually impaired Kumari Rupvarsha from Jashpur requested an Orbit Reader device to assist with her studies, while Durgesh Nandini Rathore from Kharsiya in Raigarh district sought land on lease for vegetable cultivation and fish farming. The Chief Minister directed the Collector of Raigarh to take appropriate action. For Sagar Dewangan from Durg, who lost his left hand in an accident, Shri Sai instructed the social welfare department officials to provide a free artificial limb.

Chief Minister encourages young female athletes

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to encourage young female athletes. Chain Kumari Nishad from Mahasamund and Ranjita Khalko from Raipur, who won bronze medals in the Asian Cup Beach Woodball Championship held in South Korea from August 25 to 30, attended the Jandarshan program. Shri Sai invited both athletes to the stage, boosted their morale, and took photographs with them.
