Deputy Chief Minister attends Kush Jayanti celebrations in Bhilai

Raipur, 8 September 2024// Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao attended the Kush Jayanti celebrations on Sunday organized by Maurya Kushwaha Samaj in Khursipar, Bhilai.

On this occasion, he inaugurated the beautification work of Samrat Ashok Chowk and said that Ashok Chakra enhances the prestige of India.

Shri Sao announced allocation of Rs 5 Lakh for the building of Kushwaha Samaj on the demand of Vaishali Nagar MLA Shri Rakesh Sen on this program.

In a major announcement, Shri Sao said that a city bus-service will be operated between Raipur and Durg city. This will help in connecting Durg-Bhilai to the capital city. To connect Durg-Bhilai directly to the capital, all the three cities will be developed as State Capital Region (SCR).

Highlighting the significance of social fabric of brotherhood and unity, Durg Lok Sabha constituency MP Shri Vijay Baghel said that social harmony has immense power. We believe in equality, stay unbiased and commit to serve all communities.

MLA Rakesh Sen said that Kushwaha community has contributed to the development of the state and is continuously progressing in the field of education. Many public representatives and dignitaries including Durg-Rural MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar and Bhilai Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Neeraj Pal were also present in the program
