Raipur 07 September 2024// Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday inaugurated the Government run Prayas Residential School in Garh Umaria of Raigarh district and encouraged students to dream big for success in life and work wholeheartedly to turn those dreams into reality.
On this occasion, Chief Minister extended greetings on Ganesh Chaturthi. He said that this Prayas Residential School of Raigarh district will set an example in the field of education.
“Life is incomplete without education, Chhattisgarh government is constantly making efforts to ensure that students in Chhattisgarh get better education and move forward,” said Shri Sai.
Government is focused on opening required education related institutions in state. The inauguration of Prayas Residential School in Raigarh is also a part of our efforts, he added. State government had implemented the New Education Policy 2020 in the state in compliance to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts to make the education system effective across the country. The educational system is being improved through the PM Shri School Scheme. A total 263 schools in the state have been included in the PM Shri Scheme. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed educational material to the admitted students of Prayas Residential School.
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister and Minister in charge of Raigarh district Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Finance Minister Shri O P Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, Lok Sabha MP Shri Radheshyam Rathia, other public representatives were present.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam said that the Chhattisgarh government is making better arrangements for building the future of the young generation of the state. The inauguration of Prayas Vidyalaya on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi is an milestone stone in story of future progress of state. The students of this district will get its benefit and that 7 children of Prayas Vidyalaya have topped the board exams. He called upon the students to make continuous efforts to achieve life goals.
Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary provided detailed information about the coordinated efforts of the Chhattisgarh government and the Central government to improve education. He said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that Raipur of Chhattisgarh is the only city in the country where there are important institutions like NIT, AIIMS, IIT, IIIT, HNLNU, Medical College, IIM.
It is worth noting that Prayas Residential School, considered a symbol of high level quality and excellence in the field of education, has been established in Raigarh district under the academic session 2024-25. This school is going to be operated in the building of Livelihood College located in Garh Umaria. After counseling session at the state level for admission in the school, out of a total of 96 students, 49 boys and 47 girls have been given admission.
