Under Corporate Social Responsibility at NTPC Korba, the CSR wing successfully helped 29 students of the second batch to complete a course on Machine Operator CNC lathe at CIPET Korba.
On 1 May 2024, during the valedictory function at CIPET Korba, Shri Sarit Maheshwari was present as the Chief Guest in the august presence of Shri Shashi Shekhar, AGM (HR), Shri RK Lilhare, Manager, Technical and other officials of the CSR team of NTPC Korba and CIPET.
The program was conducted for 30 students of the nearby villages and 29 students completed the course and got placed.
The program includes theoretical classes regarding CNC technology, plastic technology, English speaking, safety, mould design, etc along with practice classes on CNC machine operation and job training.
This is the fourth batch that completed the course since 2022 when this initiative started. The first two batches were trained on injection moulding machine operation and the second two batches on CNC lathe operation. A total of 124 students completed the course and are placed in various industries across India.
All these courses are Certified by the National Skill Development Council.
