Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurates Krishak Unnati Yojana

An amount of Rs 799 crore 66 lakh transferred to the accounts of nearly two lakh farmers of the district

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated ‘Krishak Unnati Yojana’  of Chhattisgarh Government at a program organized in Balod district today. On the occasion, Shri Sai transferred the input assistance amount of Rs 799 crore 66 lakh into the bank accounts of 1 lakh 56 thousand 713 farmers of the district through DBT, under Krishak Unnati Yojana. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Tankram Verma was present as the Chief Guest of the district-level program organized at Sports Stadium in Balodabazar. District headquarters and Janpad headquarters were virtually connected to the main program.
In his address to the program, Minister Shri Verma said that it is a historic moment when such a huge amount of input assistance has been transferred into the bank accounts of farmers. With the commencement of this scheme, our government is bringing immense joy and financial empowerment to the farmers, and thereby fulfilling anoth guarantee of PM Shri Modi. In this way, our government is now at the forefront in providing input assistance to farmers. He said that a day earlier, on March 10, the first installment under Mahtari Vandan Yojana was transferred to the accounts of about 70 lakh women of the state. Minister Shri Verma said that the sports award ceremony will be soon resumed to acknowledge the contribution and performance of the sportspersons. He said that Deendayal Upadhyay Landless Agricultural Labourers Scheme will also be started soon to provide financial aid to the landless labourers. He said that public participation is important for attaining the goal of making India a developed nation and Chhattisgarh a developed state by 2047 as per the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Collector Shri KL Chauhan said in the welcome address that the  state government has transferred the difference amount of paddy to the bank accounts of the farmers. Nearly Rs 799 crore 66 has been transferred to the accounts of 1 lakh 56 thousand 713 farmers of the district. Farmers are overjoyed to have received this amount and now they are even more motivated to invest their time and energy in agricultural sector.

On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mr. Rakesh Verma, CEO District Panchayat Mrs. Namrata Jain, Mr. Vijay Kesharwani, Mr. Naresh Kesharwani, Mr. Tesu Lal Dhurandhar, Mrs. Neelam Soni, Mrs. Sunita Verma, SDM Mr. Amit Kumar Gupta and other public representatives, officers and a large number farmers were also present.
