Sukanti returned home after receiving treatment at the medical college in Raipur

State government provided assistance to 105 people through the Chief Minister’s camp

Raipur, 25 February 2024/ Under the directive of the Chief Minister’s camp in Bagiya, the Jashpur district administration has initiated efforts to provide free treatment to 2-year-old Rehan Tirkey. Rehan, a resident of Nariyardand village in Gram Panchayat Kogabahri of Kansabel block in Jashpur district. Shri Ishwar Tirkey, father of Rehan, sought assistance for his son’s treatment at the Chief Minister’s camp. Shri Ishwar Tirkey explained that his son has a birth condition that has rendered him unable to speak. Despite undergoing various treatments at the local level, there was no improvement. Doctors advised him to seek treatment at a superspecialty hospital. He underwent treatment at a private hospital in Raipur, but Rehan still couldn’t speak a word.

Upon receiving directives from the Chief Minister’s camp at Bagiya, the health department’s Chirayu team examined Rehan. The team has diagnosed Rehan as suffering from a condition known as cleft lip and cleft palate. Dr. Arvind Ratre, in charge of the Chirayu team, stated that preparations for Rehan’s treatment in Raipur have been completed. He mentioned that Rehan’s treatment will be provided free of charge at a private clinic in Raipur. Rehan will soon be sent to Raipur with his relatives and the Chirayu team, where he will undergo treatment.

Sukanti returned home after receiving treatment at the medical college

Sukanti Chauhan, wife of Nandkumar Chauhan, became a victim of a fire accident during cooking. After receiving treatment at DK Hospital in Raipur, she has returned home. Both of Sukanti’s legs were severely burned in the fire accident. Although she recovered after initial treatment in a local hospital, she was still unable to walk properly. On February 3, Sukanti and her husband, Nandkumar Chauhan, requested assistance from Chief Minister Shri. Vishnu Deo Sai for further treatment.

On the directive of the Chief Minister, Sukanti was taken to Raipur by ambulance and admitted to DK Hospital. Here, doctors successfully operated on Sukanti’s legs. Sukanti remained under the doctors’ observation for 15 days after the operation. It is hoped that she will soon be able to walk like an ordinary person. Sukanti and her husband Nandkumar have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for arranging treatment at the medical college. It is noteworthy that after the inauguration of the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Bagiya, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had a phone conversation with Sukanti during her treatment at DK Hospital. He inquired about her well-being and wished her a speedy recovery.

105 individuals from various districts have received assistance

Since the establishment of the Chief Minister’s Camp in Bagiya, 105 individuals from various districts of Chhattisgarh, including Jashpur, have received assistance. This assistance includes arranging ambulances for those injured in road accidents along with medical aid, as well as providing hearse vehicles (shav-vahan), among other cases. Daily public meetings are organised at the CM Camp in Bagiya. All received applications are promptly forwarded to the respective departments for necessary action.
