Raigarh , 07 november . The 49th Raising Day of power major NTPC Limited celebrated at Lara Super Thermal Power Station on 7th November 2023. At NTPC Lara Diwakar Kaushik, Executive Director (NTPC-Lara) hoisted NTPC flag and addressed the employees. In his address Kaushik highlighted the progress of NTPC from zero to 73874-megawatt power company. In this journey of 49 years, NTPC Limited has diversified its portfolio and registered its presence in the total value chain of power generation including hydro, gas, solar, wind, nuclear, green hydrogen, and nuclear power. NTPC has now became a global power company with international presence in Bangladesh Maitree Power station, which was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister, Smt. Shekh Hasina on 1st November 2023.
NTPC listed itself as an alone public sector company in global Forbes list of companies. Taking about NTPC Lara station performance in this FY 2023-2024, till October 31st, NTPC Lara station generated 7233.48 million units with 88 percent plant load factor and stood 4th station among all NTPC power stations in the country. This achievement is quite encouraging for all employees because this data is very good for a new power station like NTPC Lara. Besides power generation Lara station is undertaking various developmental activities under CSR-CD activity for peripheral development.
To memorise this moment a cake cutting ceremony was held in the presence of all general managers and representatives of union and association. On this occasion Akhilesh Singh, GM (Operation & Maintenance), Rajeev Ranjan, GM (Maintenance), SK Roy, GM (Operation), Ravi Shankar, GM (Project Construction), SK Swain, GM (Fuel Management), Kanhaiya Das, AGM(HR) all Head of the Departments and employees were present.
