Remembering the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and 2 nd Prime Minister of india, Bharat
Ratna Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on their 154 th and 119 th birth anniversary, NTPC Lara family paid floral
tribute to the both statesman on 2 nd October 2023. On this occasion Shri Diwakar Kaushik, Executive
Director (Lara) in the presence of all General Managers, Head of Departments, representatives of
union and association, office bearers of Prerita Mahila Samiti and employees paid floral tribute in
the portraits of Mhatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri inside Maitree Nagar township of NTPC
Lara. Addressing the gathering Shri Kaushik stressed upon Ganadhiyan philosophy to lead a simple
and meaningful life. While, Lal Bahadur Shastri was remembered for his iconic slogan Jai jawan-Jai
Kisan, honouring the soldier and farmers for building a strong prosperous country. Kaushik appealed
all employees to follow the footsteps of two iconic statesman.
