Chhattisgarh records an average rainfall of 979.6 mm so far

Bijapur district records maximum while Surguja district records minimum rainfall in the state

Raipur 21 September 2023// According to the information gathered by the State Revenue and Disaster Management Department through the State Control Room, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 979.6 mm from June 1, 2023, till now. Analyzing the rainfall data from June 1 to the morning of September 21, the Bijapur district experienced the highest average rainfall of 1584.8 mm, while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average of 427.4 mm during the same period.

As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the average rainfall recorded since June 1 varies across districts. In Surajpur district, an average rainfall of 746.7 mm has been registered, while Balrampur has experienced 867.4 mm, Jashpur has recorded 774.8 mm, and the Koriya and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur districts have recorded 880.2 and 881.5 mm of average rainfall respectively.

Similarly, 1121.2 mm in Raipur district, 1063.6 mm in Balodabazar, 878.6 mm in Gariaband, 999.7 mm in Mahasamund, 935.1 mm in Dhamtari, 1140.7 mm in Bilaspur, 1297.7 mm in Mungeli, 1104.9 mm in Raigarh and Sarangarh- Bilaigarh records an average rainfall of 943.5 mm respectively. Average rainfall of 998.9 mm was recorded in Janjgir-Champa,919.3 mm in Sakti, 932.9 mm in Korba, 1060.1 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi,806.7 mm in Durg, 848.1 mm in Kabirdham district, 1036.8 mm in Rajnandgaon, 1234.3 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 1018.3 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 941.1 mm in Balod, 834.5 mm in Bemetara, 988.8 mm in Bastar, 1003.6 mm in Kondagaon, 947.4 mm in Kanker, 901.6 mm in Narayanpur, 1001.0 mm in Dantewada and 1331.7 mm in Sukma since June 1.
