Chhattisgarh records an average rainfall of 819.4 mm so far

Bijapur district records maximum while Surguja district records minimum rainfall in the state

Raipur 08 September 2023// According to the information gathered by the State Revenue and Disaster Management Department through the State Control Room, the state has recorded an average rainfall of 819.4 mm from June 1, 2023, till now. Analyzing the rainfall data from June 1 to the morning of September 8, the Bijapur district experienced the highest average rainfall of 1390.0 mm, while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average at 365.4 mm during the same period.

As per the information provided by the State-Level Flood Control Room, the average rainfall recorded since June 1 varies across districts. In Surajpur district, an average rainfall of 690.2 mm has been registered, while Balrampur has experienced 753.8 mm, Jashpur has recorded 670.3 mm, and the Koriya and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur districts have recorded 763.7 mm and 791.3 mm of average rainfall respectively.

Similarly, 908.0 mm in Raipur district, 806.0 mm in Balodabazar, 723.2 mm in Gariaband, 834.2 mm in Mahasamund, 782.2 mm in Dhamtari, 845.7 mm in Bilaspur, 987.7 mm in Mungeli, 945.8 mm in Raigarh and Sarangarh- Bilaigarh records an average rainfall of 733.5 mm respectively. Average rainfall of 698.4 mm was recorded in Janjgir-Champa, 704.1 mm in Sakti, 800.7 mm in Korba, 859.0 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 696.2 mm in Durg, 643.2 mm in Kabirdham district, 913.2 mm in Rajnandgaon, 1055.8 mm in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, 843.8 mm in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 847.3 mm in Balod, 648.1 mm in Bemetara, 874.3 mm in Bastar, 890.2 mm in Kondagaon, 816.2 mm in Kanker, 793.0 mm in Narayanpur, 913.9 mm in Dantewada and 1223.7 mm in Sukma since June 1.
