Embarked on a nationwide bicycle expedition, Dr Seth arrives in Raipur
Raipur 22 August 2023// Padma Shri recipient Dr Kiran Seth, who reached Raipur as a part of the ‘Cycle with SPIC MACAY’ initiative, met Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel at his residential office today. Padma Shri awardee Shri Anuranjan Pandey, famous for introducing the Bastar Band to a global audience was also present on the occasion. Dr Kiran Seth, the founder of ‘SPIC MACAY’ commended Chief Minister’s initiatives including establishing the Swami Atmanand Excellent School to provide English-medium education to underprivileged children, promoting the state’s distinct culture and encouraging artists.
Dr Seth commenced a remarkable bicycle expedition ‘Cycle with SPIC MACAY’ from Leh-Ladakh, Kashmir, on August 15, 2022. The initiative aimed to promote the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, environmental conservation, and public health awareness, has now reached Raipur. The ‘Spic Macay’ a non-political, nationwide, voluntary movement, under Dr Seth’s guidance, aims to promote classical dance, music, and art. Smt. Suman Dunga, the National Vice President of SPIC MACAY and Shri Ajay Shrivastava, President of Chhattisgarh were also present.
