Chief Minister Discusses Expanding Cooperation in Education, Healthcare and Nutrition Services in Chhattisgarh

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited Sathya Sai Village, Muddenahalli, Karnataka, on July 24 and reviewed its integrated Sewa model based on education, healthcare, nutrition and human values. He met Sadguru Shri Madhusudan Sai, Founder of the One World One Family Mission, and held detailed discussions on expanding public welfare initiatives in Chhattisgarh, particularly in the areas of free healthcare services, maternal and child health, nutrition and value-based education.
He said that the foundation of a developed Chhattisgarh lies not only in economic progress but also in building a healthy, educated and value-based society. He said the state government is continuously working to ensure quality education, healthcare and nutrition services reach every person in society as part of its commitment to good governance. He added that the experience, innovation and service-oriented approach of social organisations can further strengthen public welfare initiatives.
He specially appreciated the work of Shri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Raipur, which has provided a new life to thousands of children through completely free paediatric cardiac surgeries. Describing it as an outstanding example of humanity and service, he discussed the expansion of the hospital, the establishment of a Mother and Child Hospital, and the future expansion of healthcare services.
He attended the concluding session of the International Conference on Value-Based Education as the Chief Guest. More than 100 teachers and educationists from around 25 countries participated in the conference. Shri Sai said modern education should not only impart knowledge but also promote character building, service, compassion, morality and social responsibility. He said value-based education is the foundation for creating responsible citizens and a strong nation.
He also visited the SaiSure Nutraceuticals unit operated by the Shri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust. Through the SaiSure Multi-Nutrient Health Mix, nutritional support is being provided to nearly one crore children across 25 states and four Union Territories. Appreciating the initiative, he discussed the possibility of adopting similar innovations to further improve nutrition levels among children in schools and Anganwadi centres in Chhattisgarh.
He noted that nearly 300 youths from Chhattisgarh have received nursing education and training at the institution. The Chief Minister said the initiative is making a significant contribution by creating employment opportunities for young people while developing skilled healthcare professionals with a spirit of service.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed confidence that cooperation between the Government of Chhattisgarh and the One World One Family Mission would open new opportunities in healthcare, education and nutrition, enabling quality services to reach poor, deprived and needy sections of society. He said the state government welcomes all initiatives that bring positive change to people’s lives through service, compassion and good governance.
