“Connecting youth with better employment opportunities is our priority”: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

State government distributed more than Rs. 112 crore as Unemployment Allowance to more than 1 lakh 22 thousand youth in the state

The state government, led by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, launched the ‘Berojgari Bhatta Yojana’ (Unemployment Allowance Scheme) to empower youth with Unemployment Allowance and training, boosting employment prospects. Aiming to secure the youth’s future, the scheme creates opportunities and encourages skill development through various training programs, ensuring a brighter tomorrow for the state’s young workforce.

The state government has distributed Rs. 112.43 crore as Unemployment Allowance to 1,22,625 beneficiaries’ bank accounts under the scheme, bringing joy to them. The state government is also providing employment-oriented training to promote self-reliance and competence among the youth, aiming to reduce dependency on the scheme and empower them to secure better employment opportunities. The Unemployment Allowance Scheme is providing solutions through financial assistance to the state’s youth facing financial difficulties in exam preparations and other expenses. The state government is providing Rs. 2500 monthly assistance to the youth, reducing reliance on family support and empowering unemployed youths to pursue their goals.

In a significant move, the state government has signed an MoU worth Rs. 1188.36 crore to transform 36 government ITIs into Industry 4.0 Technology Hubs. The project aims to offer training in six new technical trades and 23 short-term courses, benefiting approximately 10,000 youngsters annually. With enhanced skills, these individuals can secure employment across various industries. To further support their progress, the youth will receive Unemployment Allowances and fee waivers for PSC and Vyapam competitive examinations, providing much-needed relief from financial constraints.
