A sensitive initiative of administration in a highly sensitive area -Chandameta

Children chuckled with joy and enthusiasm as they inaugurated the school building with their own hands

Raipur, 14 July 2023/ For the first time ever, Primary School in Chandameta, a highly-sensitive area of Bastar district, has got its own building. Taking a sensitive initiative in this highly-sensitive area, the administration decided to get the new school building inaugurated at hands of the students of this school. Children were overjoyed to inaugurate their newly-constructed school building. They enjoyed being treated as the special guests of the occasion by the officials and villagers.

Chandameta, which was once affected by Naxal violence, is now undergoing significant socio-economic development. As a result of the efforts and initiatives of the government, schools here are being run regularly and the children are being provided a conducive environment for better education in the village itself. The land for the school building in Chandameta has been donated by the farmer Mr. Aayta Markam. In the inauguration program of the school, the officials and the villagers thanked Mr. Aayta for donating the land for the school building and honored him with a bouquet.

It is noteworthy that as a result of the consistent and consolidated efforts of the State Government, various remote Naxal-affected areas of the state are now joining the mainstream and contributing towards the development of the state. Earlier, these areas were deprived of basic amenities, schools were shut down, and peace was disrupted. But the Bhupesh Baghel led Chhattisgarh Government has not only reopened the 314 schools in Bastar division that were shut down by Naxalites but has also firmly established its resolve for development, trust and security in the region. District administration officials said that education facilities are being developed and upgraded for the all-round development of the children. Security force personnel have worked hard to build this school building, and the people of Chandameta have taken the responsibility of conserving and beautifying this building.
