Raipur 01 July 2023 / Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel virtually launched the expansion of various schemes being run under the Urban Administration and Development Department, at a programme organized at his residence office today. On this occasion, Shri Baghel launched the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana in all Nagar Palikas, through which 25 services, including labour cards, will now be provided to beneficiaries at their doorstep. Previously, the benefits of this scheme were only available to citizens in the municipal corporation areas. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Urban Industrial Park (UIPA) in the state’s urban areas to enhance employment opportunities for startup entrepreneurs and women self-help groups. Furthermore, the Chief Minister flagged off new Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) under the Chief Minister’s Slum Health Scheme. It is noteworthy that the MMU, popularly known as ‘Neeli Gaadi’ (Blue Vehicle) among citizens, has gained significant popularity, leading to an increase in the number of these units to cater to the citizens’ needs.
Chief Minister personally hands out ration card to Sohle Family under Mitan Yojana
Under the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, a total of 99,999 certificates have been delivered to the doorsteps of citizens so far. On Saturday, the Chief Minister personally handed out the one lakhth certificate under the scheme to the beneficiary family including members Sushri Sheetal Sohle, Sushri Ankita Sohle, Sushri Isha Sohle, Shri Surya Sohle, and Shri Shashank Sohle. The Sohle family had contacted Mitan for a ration card, and the Chief Minister personally handed them the ration card. Similarly, Aadhaar cards were provided to Sushri Ritu Sharma, Sushri Aaradhya Sharma, and Sushri Ananya Pandey, and a PAN card was given to Dr Neha Bhalla.
Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel stated that with the aim of providing better employment opportunities to startup entrepreneurs and women self-help groups in urban areas, we are now launching Urban Industrial Parks on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Parks. The virtual foundation stone laying ceremony for this initiative was conducted today.
“Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana was launched with an aim to strengthen service delivery and provide citizens with essential documents from the comfort of their homes. Various government documents are now accessible to citizens through ‘Mitans’ in the urban areas of Chhattisgarh. I hope that these innovative initiatives will create new employment opportunities in our cities and give new momentum to the urban economy.”, he said.
Chief Minister further added that in the urban areas of Chhattisgarh, citizens can now conveniently get various government documents delivered to their doorsteps through the Mitan Yojana. Starting today, the Mitan Yojana, which facilitates home delivery of 25 services, including labour cards, will be available in all Nagar Palika Parishads across the state. The one lakhth beneficiary of the ‘Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana’ received a certificate here today, which is a milestone under this scheme. The significant number of citizens benefiting from this scheme in a short span of time is quite encouraging.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel stated that Chhattisgarh has gained nationwide fame owing to its splendid culture and robust agriculture-based economy. Over the past four and a half years, our efforts focused not only on strengthening the rural economy but also on boosting the urban economy of the state. To this end, we have undertaken measures to enhance urban infrastructure, arrange additional financial resources, and implement schemes aimed at benefiting every individual in society.
“To strengthen urban healthcare, we have launched the Chief Minister’s Slum Health Scheme and the Shri Dhanvantari Generic Medical Store Scheme. The extension of pipeline networks has ensured access to clean drinking water in every household. Chhattisgarh has consistently received recognition from the Central Government for three consecutive years for its excellent work in maintaining cleanliness. Besides, the state government is providing a grant of Rs 2 crore to each industrial park to their respective bodies”, he said.
He further stated that representatives from both newly formed districts and various other districts have been demanding mobile medical units. Considering these demands, a symbolic inauguration of 30 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) included in the third phase of the Chief Minister’s Slum Health Scheme was done today.
In his address, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya stated that citizens’ facilities are being improved in urban areas. The inauguration of the Urban Industrial Park will also lead to an increase in employment opportunities for urban residents.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat, Urban Administration Special Secretary Dr Ayyaj Fakir Bhai Tamboli, Urban Administration Director Dr Saransh Mittar, SUDA CEO Shri Saumil Ranjan Choubey, and Additional CEO Shri Ashish Tikriha were also present on the occasion. Additionally, officials and beneficiaries from various districts virtually attended the programme.
