“The Tour turned out to be highly informative, we plan to implement new construction technologies suitable for the conditions in Chhattisgarh”, says Shri Sao
Raipur, 20 September 2024/ Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Public Works Department Shri Arun Sao returned to Raipur this morning after concluding his study visit to the United States of America. He was accorded a grand and cordial welcome, upon his arrival at Swami Vivekananda Airport.
Shri Sao shared that during his study tour in the US, he visited five major cities to explore road construction and maintenance techniques, with a special focus on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in construction and bridge-building. Accompanied by Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of the Public Works Department, Mr. Sao studied the advanced construction technologies used in major U.S. cities. He also visited construction sites and observed greenfield road projects. Describing the tour as highly beneficial, Mr. Sao said that the technologies deemed suitable for the conditions of Chhattisgarh will certainly be implemented in the state.
During his visit, Mr. Sao also attended the closing ceremony of the Indian Swadeshi Fair held in Chicago as the chief guest. Reflecting on his experience, he mentioned that he met a large number of Indians, particularly those from Chhattisgarh, in every city he visited. Many people from Chhattisgarh are residing in the US and are making the state proud through their contributions. Mr. Sao further shared that he extended invitations to people from Chhattisgarh and other Indian states, and also invited Americans to visit Chhattisgarh to experience its natural beauty, sites of religious and mythological significance, and to understand its rich culture and heritage.
