Bhent Mulaqat : Chief Minister conducted Bhoomipoojan of 1000-seater garment factory

One thousand women to be employed in the factory constructed at Rs. 15 crores

Separate departments for cutting, sewing, and packaging

RAIPUR, 25 APRIL . Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel conducted the Bhoomipoojan of a 1000-seater garment factory in Mowa during the Bhent Mulaqat program organized in Raipur Rural Assembly Constituency today.

The factory, which is aimed at enhancing urban livelihood, will employ women who are proficient in basic tailoring. Women who are interested in learning sewing will be trained at the factory and employed thereafter.

The Raipur Municipality plans to install one thousand sewing machines in the factory to create a brand of garments through the hard work of women and the government’s cooperation. The factory will have separate departments for cutting, sewing, and packaging of clothes manufactured in large numbers.

The factory will tie up with large readymade garment companies in the country, which will provide raw materials to the factory and buy the manufactured garments. This initiative is expected to not only provide employment to the women of Raipur but also help the city make a mark in the field of garments. The demand for clothes manufactured here is expected to increase in metropolitan cities due to their low cost, which will lead to new employment opportunities. The Raipur Municipal Corporation has decided to operate the factory on the Public-Private Partnership model. This model is expected to ensure the smooth operation of the factory and its long-term sustainability.

The Minister In Charge of the district Mr. Ravindra Chaubey, Raipur (Rural) MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, Mayor of the Raipur Municipal Corporation Mr. Aijaz Dhebar, Chairman of District Central Co-operative Bank Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Mr. Pramod Dubey, other public representatives, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Bhure, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Prashant Agrawal, Commissioner of Corporation Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi, and a large number of common people were present on the occasion.
