Odisa, 04 July. Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resource), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), has taken the additional charge of Director (Human Resource), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) with effect from 1 July 2026.
On 03 July 2026 Shri Das visited MCL Headquarters at Sambalpur for the first time after assuming the charge.
During his visit, Shri Das was accorded a warm welcome by senior officials and employees of MCL. He interacted with members of the MCL fraternity and was briefed with the organization’s ongoing human resource initiatives and operational priorities.
Having started his career with MCL in 1994 as a Welfare Officer (Trainee), Shri Biranchi Das has risen through the ranks to head the Human Resource function as Director (Human Resource), marking a remarkable professional journey within the Coal India family.
