Balodabazar Krishnakunj will have a Gym, butterfly park, and swings for children

Raipur, 04 April . Krishnakunj which is being developed under the Forest Department in Kukurdi bypass near district headquarter Balodabazar is in the final stage. It is the biggest ever park in the district. In this park, there will be a facility of an open gym for adults, swing and butterfly park are being developed for children. All the work will be completed in the next 15-20 days.

It is noteworthy that in the urban areas, a garden named ‘Krishna Kunj’ has been developed under the Forest Department which was launched on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. Various species of shady and fruitful plants have been planted by the Forest Department in Krishna Kunj. It will provide a fresh and clean environment for the people living in the city. Krishnakunj of Balodabazar has also been expanded with the help of the district administration. The Divisional Forest Officer gave this information to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. Sanjay Shukla.

Today, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Shukla reached the Balodabazar-Bhatapara districts. He reviewed the various works of the department in detail by conducting surprise inspections of various places under Balodabazar Forest Division. He inspected the grassland prepared by the CAMPA fund in Rampur under Baranwapara Sanctuary, check dam and other structures under Narva Development Program, and ramp construction built on Pakrid to Kantara road. He also inspected the ANR survey work in the Devpur range and met with ‘haathi mitra’ group in the Kothari range. He also met the committee members and villagers managing the rest house in Dev Hills. He inspected the work of Achanakpur to Chanhat WBM Marg, Van Dhan Kendra at Nawagaon, plantation at the river bank of village Sinodha, implementation of Mukhyamantri Vrikshya Sampada Yojana at Dotopar and Krishna Kunj being prepared under phase 2 in Balodabazar Nagar.

Mr. Shukla has also visited other places in the district and instructed to promote river bank plantation. Apart from this, he gave necessary instructions to the officers of the Forest Department regarding the regular inspection of the field and the protection of wildlife. During this, the Chief Conservator of Forests of Raipur JR Nayak was also present.

Dev Hills Committee purchases 50 quintals of dried Palash flowers for the first time at a profit of Rs 12 lakhs

During this, DFO Mr. Mayank Agarwal told that Dev Hills Resort is the first choice of tourists. The forest committee running this resort is currently earning a net profit of Rs 12 lakh and is emerged as a role model for the state. For the first time in the district, 50 quintals of dried Palash flowers have been procured at the support price. The DFO also informed that the first Van Dhan Kendra of the district has been opened at Nawagaon. Collector Rajat Bansal and Superintendent of Police Deepak Jha were also present on this occasion.
