BSP supports Abujmarh Mallakhamb team in 5th All India Khelo India Youth Games

BHILAI, 16 February . Ten players of Abujmarh, representing Narayanpur Abujmarh Mallakhamb Academy from Chhattisgarh under the CSR ambit of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant secured bronze medal in the recently organised 5th All India Khelo India Youth Games 2022. As per the information, Women and Men players of Chhattisgarh created history by winning the title of team champion by earning 201.25 points with their best game in the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 held at Ujjain on February 7.

SAIL-BSP has provided special financial assistance and provided appropriate sports equipment and facilities for the Mallakhamb Academy, making necessary equipment available at the right time. SAIL-BSP thereby has made a special contribution in encouraging the Mallakhamb team of Chhattisgarh from Rowghat area. A rule was made in the Youth Games 2022 to give medals by adding the combined marks of all women and men players, due to which the first, second and third places were taken out, in which Chhattisgarh Mallakhamb team got the third place and captured the bronze medal.

The names of the bronze medalist boys and girls category players include Manu Dhruv, Monu Netam, Shyamlal Potai, Rakesh Varda, Santosh Sori and Ravindra Kumar in the Boys category. Similarly, Sarita Poyam, Durgeshwari Kumeti, Santay Potai, Jayanti Kachalam, Himanshi Usendi and Shiksha Dinkar represented the Girls team.

Premchand Shukla, General Manager of Chhattisgarh Malkhamb Team, Pushkar Dinkar, Manager, Bisan Kaser Coach, Manoj Prasad and Poonam Prasad and Dr Rajkumar Sharma, Technical Officer have kept their morale high by applauding the team in Ujjain. Patron of Chhattisgarh Mallakhamb Sangh and former BDA President, Anil Tah and Vice President Raja Sarkar, Treasurer Anil Singh has conveyed their best wishes.
