Bijapur: Through street play, villagers in the district’s remote areas are being informed about major government schemes


Bijapur, 14 Feburary . Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department is effectively promoting important ambitious schemes of the Government of Chhattisgarh among the locals. Through Kala Jatha teams conversing in local dialect, citizens from the most remote areas of the district are being connected with the mainstream by providing them benefits from the government schemes. In various panchayats including Cherpalli, Kottapalli, Pamgal, Gullapenta, Bijapur block’s Gangalur, Itpal, Bhairamgarh block’s Temrubhatha, Tumnar, Kodoli, Pusnar and Mingachal gram panchayats of Bhopalpatnam block of the district, the villagers are being enthusiastically informed about government schemes through street play performances. Villagers are being told about the Gauthans established under the government’s priority scheme Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Bari, and the benefits that would accrue from it. Locals are benefiting from this scheme by participating in various activities and gaining financial empowerment.

Similarly, under the Haat-Bazar Clinic Yojana, people are taught how to examine themselves, as well as how to take preventive measures against diseases. The artists of Kalajathas are inspiring the villagers to take advantage of these schemes.

Apart from the schemes such as Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana, Masahati Survey, Dhanvantari Generic Medical Store Yojana, Dai Didi Clinic Yojana, Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, Forest Rights Act Implementation, Swami Atmanand English Medium School Yojana, Vriksha Ropan ProtsahanYojana, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club Yojana, Half Bijli-Bill Yojana, and Mukhyamantri Shehri Slum Swasthya Yojana and various other schemes are being promoted.
