Raipur 04 February . The research work presented by 16 Chhattisgarh child scientists at the National Children’s Science Congress in Ahmedabad was highly praised by the experts. The National Children’s Science Congress was held from January 27 to 31 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, by the Gujarat Council of Science and Technology and by the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology. It drew approximately 1200 child scientists from other Indian states. Additional Chief Secretary, Smt. Renu Pillay, expressed her joy at the selection of 12 girls out of 16 child scientists. She believes that this selection demonstrates that girls are actively participating in science and research. This will also send an important message to society.
The National Children’s Science Congress 2022 will have five sub-themes: Knowing Your Ecosystem, Promoting Health, Nutrition and Well-Being, Ecosystem and Social and Cultural Practices for Health, Ecosystem-Based Approaches to Self-Reliance, Ecosystem Research work on technological innovation for system and health.

Priyansh Bhaduri, Nandita Kevat, Rupshikha Sahu, Disha Sahu, Priyanshu Patel, Radhika Kanwar, Bhumika Joshi, Karam Samuel, Maheshwar Sahu, Jahnavi Thakur, Kiran Kanwar, Khushi Jha, Manohar Baghel, Prarthana Kevat, Anvika Gupta and Ananya Singh from Chhattisgarh participated and presented the research project in National Children’s Science Congress. Medals and citations were awarded to the child scientists in the concluding session.
Along with this, child scientists and teachers participated in teachers workshop, meet of scientist session, popular science talk, exhibition, activity camp, poster presentation and cultural program. Scientist Dr. J.K. Rai and four teachers Mr. Anil Tiwari, Mr. Jagdishwar Rao, Mrs. Meena Johnson and Mrs. Seema Chaturvedi participated and guided the child scientists.

Aside from that, two child scientists, Anmol Malviya and Kumari Harshita Rathiya, who were chosen from the State Level Children’s Science Congress, presented their research project at the 108th Indian Science Congress, which was held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, from the 3rd to the 7th of January. Along with this, Dr. J.K. Rai and Dr. Bina Sharma of the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, as well as two project staff, demonstrated various activities of the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology through exhibits.
