Chhattisgarh Rises as a Hotspot for Textile, Tourism, Steel and Healthcare Investments
Mumbai, 23 April 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today met several leading industrialists from India and abroad and discussed the possibilities of investment in textiles, apparel, hospitality, steel, tourism and health care industries in the state.
In a series of high-level meetings in Mumbai, several leading companies such as SizeUp, INBD Tex, Swift Merchandise, Shalby Hospital, Lalan Group, Greentech Solutions and Araiya Group expressed strong interest in investing in Chhattisgarh, citing its robust industrial ecosystem and progressive policies.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister shared information about the facilities and incentives being given to investors under Chhattisgarh’s new Industrial Policy 2024-30.
P Gandhi, Director of Swift Merchandise, Ajit Kumar Dalmia, Director of INBD Tex, founder of SizeUpp, Dilip Parikh of Lalan Group expressed their desire to set up apparel units in Nava Raipur, each requiring 3 to 5 acres of land. Meanwhile, Swift Merchandise announced their decision to enter the Chhattisgarh market, drawn by the state’s strong growth potential in the textile sector. Further expanding the scope of interest, Sri Lanka’s Lalan Group has requested 10 acres of land to establish textile and yarn production facilities. Shalby Group President has showed keen interest in setting up multispecialty hospital in Nava Raipur, whereas Araiya Group Chief Business and strategy Officer Akshay Kulkarni expressed interest in seven-star hospitality projects in Chhattisgarh and Greentech Solutions Director M. Prasad Reddy presented a plan to set up an integrated steel plant in the state worth Rs 1245 crore. He said the plant is likely to provide direct employment to more than 500 people. Satyen Jain, Director, Pride Hotels too expressed interest in investment.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai assured all potential investors of comprehensive support from the state, including affordable electricity, a skilled workforce, and robust logistics infrastructure.
Speaking to industry leaders, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh has become one of the best states for investment. “Our new industrial policy is simple, transparent, and beneficial for investors. We have no shortage of electricity, water, land, skilled workers, or logistics. The government is fully committed to supporting investors at every level,” he said.
