Safety Stewards honoured at NTPC Lara

In a bid to inculcate safety culture to the last man of a power plant, who is a contract labour, the 1600 megawatt NTPC Lara power station has felicitated 57 contract labourers engaged under different work contracts. In a programme Diwakar Kaushik, Chief General Manager (NTPC Lara) in the presence of Akhilesh Singh, General Manager (Operation and maintenance), Rajeev Ranjan, General Manager (Fuel Management), S K Roy, General Manager (Operation), A K Vashisth, AGM (Safety), Shri Samir Sharma, AGM (TS) felicitated 57 contract labourers as a recognition to honour their alertness to avert any possible accident which can lead to a big loss for the power station. Speaking on this occasion Shri Kaushik reiterated NTPC’s commitment towards maintaining zero accident at workplace.

Shri Kaushik said, safety is a collective effort and responsibility of each member of this power plant everyone’s small effort to understand the possible threat and try to eliminate the safety concern at the early stages so that our workplace will be an accident-free workplace. In future also we will continue to maintain this practice to honour the safety stewards
