Raigarh 4 May. In an effort to the service of mankind Prerita Mahila Samiti, the women’s welfare wing of NTPC Lara establish Pyau (Roadside cold drinking water point) on the other day. Smt. Seema Kaushik, President, Prerita Mahila Samiti, NTPC Lara inaugurated the drinking water point at village Chhapora and Maitree Nagar. This service of samiti is providing much relief to the travelers from continuing heat weave and quenching their thirst on the midway from village Lara to Raigarh.
It is noteworthy to mention that Prerita Mahila Samiti is dedicated for the welfare of the weaker section of the society. Samiti not only restricts themselves to NTPC Lara and its nearby areas, but many times also they have extended their help to the orphanage and senior citizen homes at district Raigarh. Besides that, samiti also provides sitting arrangement in schools, study materials and utensils at Aanganbadis of near by villages. For the welfare of female contract workers periodically they provide cloth and various daily need items for their help.
On this occasion Smt. Sundara Laxmi, Vice-president, Smt. Sunita Jha, In-charge (Welfare activities), Smt. Rachana Ranjan, Vice-President, employees and large numbers of villagers were present.
